All Around You

Jodie Luong and KIV GOES FLIP are two of the most contented people I know. I wanted to find out why. The answer kept coming back to the same thing: the way they look at the world, and how much they find in it to appreciate.

Jodie gets close enough to see what everyone else steps over: dust, a shard of glass, the light inside a drop of water. KIV turns what she feels straight into colour and sound, and lets it collide. One looks in, one pours out. Both are paying attention.

和光同塵 comes from the Tao Te Ching: soften your light and share in the dust. It's an old way of saying that the good stuff is not somewhere else. It is all around you.
